Jóhonaaʼéí Ashkii Harvey

“SUN BOY”

Jonah Ashkii Harvey is an emerging artist currently taking his first formal steps into the worlds of painting and sculpture. Growing up in a deeply creative environment as the son of acclaimed Navajo artist Sheldon Harvey, Jonah spent his childhood immersed in the discipline of the studio, observing firsthand how stories and raw materials are transformed into fine art.

While heavily influenced by his father’s blend of Diné tradition and modern abstraction, Jonah is focused on finding his own visual language. He is currently in the foundational stages of his practice, experimenting with different mediums, textures, and techniques to explore themes of contemporary identity and personal heritage.

Quietly developing his initial concepts and building his first cohesive body of work, Jonah is dedicated to learning the craft from the ground up—honoring his family's artistic roots while gradually shaping his own creative voice.
